Orlando Acevedo-Charry
Tropical Conservation Ecology

I am a Colombian biologist with experience in tropical conservation and field ecology. My research interests are broad, ranging from outreach to biodiversity monitoring, community ecology, population ecology, taxonomy, and biogeography. 

 

I finished my Master’s degree (MSc) at the University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras. I serve as co-editor of Ornitología Colombiana, the journal of the Asociación Colombiana de Ornitología. I served as curator of the Colección de Sonidos Ambientales Mauricio Álvarez-Rebolledo at Humboldt Institute, Colombia during 2018-2021.

 

I just move to Gainesville, FL, to join the Interdisciplinary Ecology PhD degree program at the University of Florida.
